Chicken Lettuce Wraps (Pf Chang’s Copycats)


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken or chicken breast cut into small chunks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbs minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion diced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 TBS oyster sauce
  • 2 TBS soy sauce
  • 1 TBS rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 Tsp red chili paste
  • 1 8-ounce can whole water chestnuts, drained and diced
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 head butter lettuce


  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground chicken and season with salt and pepper, or chunked up chicken breasts
  3. Brown and crumble chicken, about 3-5 minutes, drain fat. Or cook chicken breast chunks, drain fat.
  4. After draining, return to heat and stir in garlic, onion, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and chili paste and cook until onions have become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in chestnuts and green onions cooking until tender, about 1-2 minutes;
  6. Taste and season with salt and pepper, to preference.
  7. spoon several tablespoons of the chicken mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf and enjoy
